The rector said this at the weekend in Auchi during the 35th matriculation ceremony of the institution.

Jimah said that the warning became imperative due to the complaint by students that some lecturers of the institution are extorting money from them.

“No blocking, any extortion of money under any guise would not be tolerated under my watch. The blocker and the blocked are culpable and would be sanctioned,” he said.

He advised the students to report any lecturer soliciting for money or any untoward favour to the appropriate quarters for action.

Dr Jimah warned students to shun cultism, violence, examination malpractice and others vices, adding that whoever caught would be expelled.
