AS parts of efforts to improve the skills of hairstylists in the art of hair making, Lorna Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of Amigos Darling hair, hosted various groups of practitioners in Lagos in a competition.
At the event where some 150 participants were also exposed to different styles and techniques, the winner went home with N250,000 and other items while the first runner-up went away with N150,000 and the second, N100,000.
Speaking during the third annual event tagged ‘Amigos Darling 2013 Stylist Fiesta’ in Lagos last Thursday, the Marketing Manager of the company, Mrs. Adelola Chu-Osakwe, noted that looking good is a serious business which deserves every necessary attention.
Chu-Osakwe pointed out that the organisation was using the fiesta/competition as a way of networking with the hairstylists and consumers so that they would learn from one another the modern hair making techniques, and have opportunity to showcase their talents as well as creating confidence about the products.
She also disclosed that participants, through the fiesta, would have the opportunity of being exposed to the company’s new collection of hairs, including Darling VIP collection, Moroccan Weave, Liela, and Loose Dip.
She said, “Hairstylists do a lot of things in the art of making people look good but they don’t actually come together to learn from themselves. This fiesta is an opportunity for them to see themselves and learn different styles from each other. It is an avenue for them to network in a very comfortable environment.”
