Canadian ‘Cannibal Killer’ Magnotta Reportedly Admired Video Of LA Body Parts Murder While On The Run

The so-called “Canadian Psycho” suspected of killing and dismembering his boyfriend admired another criminal butcher’s grim handiwork in a similar case.

This undated photo provided by City of Montreal Police Service media relations shows Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, who is wanted for homicide.

While on the run from authorities, porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta is believed to have set up a YouTube account where he “liked” a news story about an unsolved Los Angeles body parts murder.

Th 29-year-old apparently established the HollywoodLoveLetters account sometime between fleeing Canada and his arrest in Germany on Monday, The Sun reported Thursday.

The head, hands and feet of 66-year-old Hervey Medellin were found under the iconic Hollywood sign in Los Angeles on January 17. No arrests have been made in the grisly case.

On Wednesday night a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman told NewsCore officers had no indication there was any link between Magnotta and the unsolved Los Angeles murder.

The spokeswoman said police probing Medellin’s death had been sent information relating to the Canadian man as part of their investigation, but so far had not been able to link the two cases.

A Hollywood pimp, identified only as Alex, told The Sun he believes the Canadian was working as a rent boy in Los Angeles at the time of the murder.

The owner of the HollywoodLoveLetters YouTube account, which was activated June 1, also uploaded a video tribute called “The James Dean Killer — Luka Rocco Magnotta.”

Magnotta is said to idolize movie star Dean and had plastic surgery to look like him.

Meanwhile, police in Canada said Magnotta had more than 70 Facebook pages under different names, news agency QMI reported.

Montreal police Cmdr. Ian Lafreniere said the former stripper was “very, very, very active on the web.”

He said Magnotta had used YouTube and blogs to boost his online profile and some of the material may be used against him in court.

Magnotta, who is currently in a Berlin jail cell awaiting extradition to Canada, allegedly ate parts of his victim, 33-year-old Montreal student Lin Jun, before mailing a hand and a foot to the offices of two of Canada’s main political parties.

Magnotta apparently posted a video of the killing online that shows him stabbing a man to death with an ice pick while a background track plays a song from the film “American Psycho.”

Montreal police Wednesday took over the investigation into human remains sent to two Vancouver schools to determine if they were related to Magnotta. The new body parts — a right hand and a right foot — arrived at the two West Coast schools Tuesday.

And fears of copycat pranksters were sparked Wednesday after a fake foot was found in a Montreal neighborhood
