Hon Raphael NomiyeHon. Raphael Nomiye (a.k.a Groovy), a member of the house of representatives, representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency on Ondo Sate is dead.

According to the information gathered, he slumped and died yesterday in Abuja.

It was gathered that Hon. Raphael has died from health issues relating to cancer.

The lawmaker was elected on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, and has been battling with cancer for many years, says a source.

It was gathered that he returned from the United States not long where he went for kidney transplant before his demise.

Hon. Raphel was a formal chairman of the Oil Producing Development Commission in Ondo, and has visited India many times in pursuance for solution for his ailment

It was gathered that he resigned the OSOPADEC seat to contest for the election that elevated him to the House of Representatives.

He defeated his opponent from People Democratic Party, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, during the election, and he hailed from Molutehin in Ilaje Loal Government of Ondo State
