THE Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Legal Matters and Secretary of the Oshiomhole Campaign Organisation, Barr. Henry Idahagbon has called on the governorship

Candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP) Gen. Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) to go back to Agbodo his village at Egor Local Government to establish Airhiavbere Farm Limited, as this what other retired generals like himself should do after retirement.

He made the call while speaking with Journalist at Oshiomhole’s Campaign Office in G.R.A., Benin City.
“Politics is a serious business, Airhiavbere just retired from the military barely three to four months ago, infact the ink with which he signed his resignation papers is yet to dry up and he has jumped into politics.”

Speaking further, the Special Adviser said governance is a serious business as such Gen Airhiavbere should go to his village establish a farm and help his people, he should start from there. There is Obasanjo farm, there is Abdulsalami farm, we want to see Airhiavbere farms limited where he will employ his people and empower them.

Furthermore, he said, Airhiavbere just left the Army Pension Board in June last year and want to take over Edo State and become the governor. He is a retired Army General but politically, he is a political corporal.

He has to go through the ranks to rise to political general.
“Charles Airhiavbere needs time to settle down and dis-engage himself from military mentality. If you see him campaigning he is commanding instead of beging the people to get their votes. He has not yet acquire the political language and skill to persuade the people to get their vote. This and other political things he needs to learn before coming into politics” he note.
