Members of the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North on Tuesday morning met behind closed doors with President Goodluck Jonathan in continuation of their consultation with critical stakeholders on the violence in parts of the country.
The committee’s chairman, Kabiru Turaki, told State House correspondents that the meeting which lasted an hour was at the instance of the committee and was aimed at hearing the government’s position on the matter.
Turaki said having earlier met with Boko Haram suspects in prisons, the committee members in the next phase of their consultation will meet with state governors and other stakeholders.
