No contract awarded to my company by SMEDAN – Jibrin

Former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation and member, representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Kano State, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin has denied a widely speculation that Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) awarded contracts to his company.

Former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation and member, representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Kano State, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin has denied a widely speculation that Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) awarded contracts to his company.

Jibrin described the speculation as a propaganda orchestrated by the axis of evil in the House using some disgruntled elements to divert attention from their crimes.

This was made known on several tweets made personally by the former Honorable on Tuesday evening.

He said “My attention has been drawn to the story going round that SMEDAN awarded contracts to companies with links to me. IT IS NOT TRUE!!!

“I have made it a duty to respond to every single allegation and this one is not an exception unlike Speaker Dogara and the others I accused.

“Nigerians will recall that similar allegation was leveled against me few months ago of contracts at Refugee Comm that turns out a huge lie

“Let me state categorically clear that no contract was awarded to my company, company with links to me or members of my family by SMEDAN

“No company of mine or links to me or members of my family benefitted from any contract in the 5 years I have been in the House of Reps

“It is a propaganda orchestrated by the axis of evil in the House using some disgruntled elements to divert attention from their crimes”

Jibrin claimed that the speculators are trying to push him to self defence, urging the EFCC to investigate the alleged petition.

“It is their hope that blackmail like this will force me to self defence thereby changing the public narration of budget fraud and corruption

“I  am alling on the EFCC to investigate the so called petition expeditiously and notify the public of their findings

“I am however confident that if the EFCC digs deeper in SMEDAN and Refugee Commission they will find some members that are culpable, NOT ME!

“I am shocked some one challenged me to return to the country if I am innocent on this allegation…he doesn’t even know I have been back!

“Now that I have refuted the allegations,he should challenge members of the 7th and 8 assembly and see how many can take up the challenge

“I also crave the indulgence of the general public to always cross check information because we now have many paid agents of destruction

“I remain resolute on this crusade as we prepared for our first budget fraud and corruption summit holding on the 9th of January in kano”. He concluded.
