PHCN boss robbed in Nnewi

The Business Manager of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Nnewi business office, Mr. Koss Oghife, was on Friday attacked by unknown gunmen who dispossessed him of his car and other valuable items at Amawbia.

Oghife said the gunmen, two in number, double crossed him when he was about to enter his gate from a pharmaceutical store where he picked some drugs for his sick daughter at about 7.30pm.

He told journalists that the daredevil robbers began to shoot sporadically and demanded the key to his silver-coloured RIO KIA car with registration number FGN 373 N14.

Other items taken from Oghife were his PHCN ID card, ATM cards, driver’s license and an undisclosed amount of money.

“They took me off in the car at Amawbia, switched off my phones and drove straight to Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area where they held me hostage for six hours. The car failed three times as we were going and they later dropped me and continued their journey with the car,” the Nnewi PHCN boss said.
