The communities, in a statement in Jos on Wednesday alleged that in the last 72 hours, there has been a siege on their communities, leading loss of lives and property.
In the statement signed by Secretary General, Ngwang Ishi Otarok, or association of Tarok citizens, Pastor Nanlir Napbut, the communities said, “Terrorist activities have been going on in the name of crisis on Tarok people for sometime now. Events that happened within the past 48 hours showed that there is a high level conspiracy against the Tarok people”
“On April 16, there was a stakeholders’ meeting in Plateau state government house in Jishe, Jos, aimed at proffering solutions to the lingering crisis. It was in this meeting that one of the commanders reported that mercenaries or terrorists are attacking the Tarok settlement of Tsamiya. This was indeed a good information from a reliable source”.
