Police arrests native doctor over kidnapping in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a native doctor, from Umuopu Umueze in Igboeze North Local Government Area of the state, for allegedly conniving with kidnappers in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amarizu on Friday in Enugu.

The statement accused the native doctor of providing charms to the hoodlums whenever they wanted to carry out their nefarious activities.

It said the native doctor’s arrest followed confessions by some suspected kidnappers arrested in the state recently.

“The group had confessed to the fact that they pay him N50, 000 or more as the case maybe.

“The native doctor is currently helping the police operatives with further information about his alleged role in the kidnapping of a white man, “the News Agency of Nigeria quoted the police command as saying in the statement.

The statement further said those arrested were believed to have abducted one Madam Adiza Ogbo who was discovered dead in a shallow grave
