Bolarinwa, who ran the popular Yetty Mama Restaurant on Odi-Olowo Road, Osogbo, with his wife, Yetunde, was killed by the gunmen, in the wee hours of Sunday at his Alekunwodo residence.
It was gathered that the killers, who came in a white car, scaled the fence of Bolarinwa family home and forced their way into the apartment around 1am.
They allegedly identified the husband and shot him several times before leaving without stealing any item.
punchnews learnt that Bolarinwa’s family pleaded with the gunmen to spare him but the suspected assassins still went ahead and killed him.
Some residents, who spoke with our correspondent, explained that the gunmen operated for about 15 minutes.
A resident, who declined to give his name, said, “Before the operation, they overpowered the guard of the street. After they finished, they led the guard away to another street and took his phone from him.
“The sound of the killers’gun was very loud and frightening. Everybody shut their doors. After they left, the whole street was thrown into pandemonium.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Sade Odoro, said investigation into the case had commenced, adding that the motive for the killing had yet to be determined.
Bolarinwa had worked at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation as a junior officer before joining his wife to run the restaurant
