At least three persons lost their lives in a multiple crash on Tuesday evening in Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The accident, which occurred at Karu, under the bridge, along Nyanya-Keffi Road, involved 15 vehicles.
The driver of a BNI Company truck with reg no XV 239 ABC, lost control of the vehicle at about 4:15pm, resulting to a multiple crash of about 14 other vehicles.
DailyPost gathered from a Federal Road Safety Corps official, Mr Jonas Agwu, that the vehicles hit by the truck were Nissan Primera with reg. no ES 386 ABC, Nissan Primera EL 839 ABJ, Nissan Primera, CX 45 BEN, Toyota car, DM 551 ABJ, Golf 3 car, BG 554 RBC, Honda Accord, HV 896 KJA, Honda Accord, JW 260 AAA, Toyota Siena, FE 770 LND, Toyota Camry, BR 851 KWL, Toyota Sienna, ABC 325 AL, Toyota Hilux, CF 509 LSD, Toyota Carina, GP 956 ABC, Toyota Canter Pick up, XF 517 FGE and a BMW car.
Three men, according to Agwu died from the crash while eight others were injured.
The injured victims were taken to the General Hospital in Asokoro area of Abuja for treatment while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited in a morgue.
