UGHELLI—DELTA Progressive Movement, DPM, a political pressure group, has urged Chief Godswill Obielum to contest the Delta State 2015 gubernatorial election.

DPM, in a statement by its secretary, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, described Chief  Obielum as a detribalised man,  who would deliver the dividends of democracy to Deltans without tribal sentiments.

He said: “The state governor, in 2015, should come from Delta North senatorial district in line with Peoples Democratic Party, PDP rotational policy, such candidate must be one with good pedigree.

“Deltans must shun people who will be driven by tribal sentiments; people who would want every Deltan to dress like the Anioma people before he or she could get any form of government patronage. And the only man that has the pedigree to deliver without tribal sentiments is Chief Obielum.”
