The MBGN Grande Finale was hosted by IK Osakioduwa and Yvonne “Vixen”

The 27th edition of MBGN kicked off with a splash at the ultra-modern
Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre on Friday, July 18, with 31 gorgeous girls
representing their respective states. Each of the girls scaled through
zonal competitions to earn her place in the grand finale of the most
prestigious beauty pageant in Nigeria.
Over the last 27 years, the pageant has maintained its distinctive style
and refined taste, remaining the most recognizable and consistent beauty
pageant in Nigeria. It has produced winners who have excelled in all walks
of life both in Nigeria and internationally.
MBGN, organised by Silverbird Group for the purpose of sending
representatives to international competitions, was originally known as
Miss Universe Nigeria and was renamed MBGN after Silverbird obtained the
license to send delegates to both Miss World and Miss Universe.
As a result, the MBGN 2014 winner will represent Nigeria at the Miss World
competition to the held in London, UK, the first runner-up will represent
Nigeria at the Miss Universe competition while the second runner-up will
represent Nigeria in the Miss Tourism International competition.
