2019: I’ll never seek permission from Obasanjo – Sowore

A Presidential aspirant and the Publisher, Sahara Reporters, Mr. Omoyele Sowore has vowed not to seek permission from a former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to achieve his presidential ambition.

Sowore disclosed this on Saturday while addressing Nigerians at the town hall in New York, United States.

The aspirant described Obasanjo as Banabas who was chosen over a Jesus Christ, Gani Fawehinmi in 2003.

He said “People would say don’t let them know your secret, people will not let you become the President of Nigeria the way they did to Awolowo.

“Each time Nigerians get a chance to vote for a Jesus Christ, they will choose Banabas. It happened in 1979, they had Awolowo to vote for, they voted for Shagari, they did it right in 1993 haven’t learned their lessons, they voted for Abiola even though he came from the Banabas family, he was a better human being.

“But again in 2003, Nigerians had Gani Fawehinmi right in front of them, they chose another Banabas, Olusegun Obasanjo and that is why i will never go to his living room and take permission to run for office in Nigeria. That his living room, i am talking to him based on what i heard he said, that his living room will be confined to the dustbin of history after next year. “
