A former Minister of Aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has proven him right over the appointment of Yusuf Bichi as the Acting Director-General, Department of State Services
Fani-Kayode said Buhari has dominated the intelligence agency in Nigeria, apart from the Navy, with Northern Muslim.
The former Minister said that Buhari new appointment is an indication that no Christian and southerners are good enough to be entrusted with sensitive positions.
Fani-Kayode who has been critical of the Buhari’s administration had been alleging since 2015 that the President has an agenda to Fulanize and Islamize Nigeria.
“I thank President Muhammadu Buhari for proving me right once again about his nepotism and ethnic and religious agenda by appointing yet another northern Muslim to head the DSS and for refusing to appoint a Southerner and a Christian.
“For the last 3 years, every single security and intelligence agency in our nation and every branch of our Armed Forces apart from the Navy has been headed by a northern Muslim.
“As far as Buhari is concerned no southerner and no Christian is competent enough or can be trusted enough to hold any of those critical and sensitive positions.
“Since 2015 I have been warning Nigerians about this man’s agenda but they have refused to listen. Let us hope that now they know better and that their eyes will open before it is too late.
“Buhari’s fulanisation and islamisation agenda are there for all to see. You either play the fool, pretend it does not exist and keep your mouth shut or you play the man, recognise it for what it is and resist it”- Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.
Buhari, as usual, has come under attack after he replaced the acting Director-General, Department of State Services, Mathew Seyeifa with a resident of Kano Yusuf Bichi.
Southern and Middlebelt Leadership, among other prominent Nigerians, had accused Buhari of continuously exposing himself with rabid nepotism.
This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Edwin Clark (South South), Chief Ayo Adebanjo (South West), Chief John Nwodo (South-East) and Dr. Bitrus Pogu (Middle Belt)
The Elderstatesman said, “The I-don’t-care-in-your-face attitude of the President in restoring Nigeria security architecture to the provocative situation of having 16 out of 17 service chiefs from his corner of the country is a clear demonstration of the fact that Nigeria for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is no more than his section of Nigeria.”
