It was a sad yesterday evening at the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma as angry gunmen shot several dead while others were severely injured.

Double Barrel GunIt was supposed to be a peaceful graduation party at the institution when two boys brawled at the venue, Judges quarters, Ekpoma.

One of the boys whose clothes was torn while trying to separate him from the fight reportedly sworn that his shirt must be replaced.

It was said that the angry boy who is a member of a cult returned with his friends in search of the person that fought him and as soon as he sighted him, he opened fire on anyone in sight.

According to reports, about 10 students were killed and many others sustained severe injuries.

One of the unlucky students was said to be one Dr. Einstein, a final year medical student who is set to graduate next week

Confirming the incident to NAIJA CENTER NEWS, The Edo State Police Public Relation Office DSP Chidi Nwabuzor disputed the numbers of casualties, insisting that only two were killed.

He revealed that some arrests have been made while the state CID continues its investigation.

DSP Chidi said “The incident that happened at Ekpoma was a cult-related murder where two persons were shot dead and several others reported to be severely injured.

“I can’t give you the number of people injured now, but numbers of people were injured. “
