Zimbabwe – THERE was drama at the Civil Court on Monday after a jilted woman confronted her boyfriend demanding him to take her back to her parents’ home in Chiredzi. Paul Anele had brought Mary Ruvimbo to court for a peace order after the former terminated their relationship.
The woman, who was seething with anger, declared that she would not go anywhere until Anele takes her back to her rural home. She accused Anele of wasting her time by using her to satisfy his sexual demands and later dumped her.
Ruvimbo had followed Anele to Harare from Chiredzi at the behest of her father. The drama was, however, shortlived as police officers reacted swiftly and warned the couple of creating a scene and disrupting court business.
Anele sought a peace order against Ruvimbo after she refused to have their relationship terminated. The man told the court that Ruvimbo was not happy with his decision to end the affair and wanted to impose herself on him, thereby disturbing his peace.
“Your Worship, this woman assaults me and spits in my face. She tells me that I will have no peace because I wasted her time,” said Anele.
In her response, Ruvimbo argued that she was staying with Anele only to be chased out of his house midnight last week on Sunday.
“My parents were aware that Anele was getting privileges as a husband gets from his wife from me. My parents advised me to follow him (Anele) to Harare saying he was my husband and now he is chasing me away. “I no longer love him but he should take me back to my parent’s home,” she said. herald
