An armed robber met his Waterloo on Saturday early morning at about 2am, after attempting to break into a shop to steal mobile phones and recharge cards, along Ubiaja road, opposite Uwalor junction, Uromi in Edo State.

An armed robber met his Waterloo on Saturday early morning at about 2am, after attempting to break into a shop to steal mobile phones and recharge cards, along Ubiaja road, opposite Uwalor junction, Uromi in Edo State.

The robber triggered an alert system which led to the store’s owner informing the police and the vigilante group who swung into action immediately.

According to information gathered by NAIJA CENTER NEWS, upon sighting the vigilantes, the robbers opened fire on them which led to an exchange of fires and ultimately to one of the robber’s death.

One of the burglars escaped while the unfortunate one identified Odijie as died on the spot.

The daredevil robber had a text message on his phone which indicated that today is his birthday, unfortunately not alive to celebrate it.
