yet to be identified men invaded a meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna on Friday.
The incident happened at the party secretariat at about 7pm when members of the faction loyal to the state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai were in a closed-door meeting along Akilu Road, Kaduna.
The thugs were said to attacks the politicians as soon as they saw them at the building. The loyalists were attacked with sticks and their vehicles were reportedly destroyed too.
The invaders were said to have also blocked the vehicles of the lawmakers while the security guards remained helpless.
The situation was put under control after a reinforcement team of the Nigerian police arrived the scene. There were teargas fired and several shots on the air to disperse the hoodlums.
Journalists at the premise reportedly ran for their lives.
Those allegedly targeted at the meeting were Chief Whip of the Kaduna State house of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani and a member of the house of representative Abubakar Mamman
