Just In: DSS Vacates National Assembly Minutes After Daura’s Sack

Barely an hour after the Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) Lawal Daura was fired by the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the Security operatives at the National Assembly has lifted the siege.

Mask wearing operatives of the DSS blocked the entrance to the National Assembly on Tuesday morning on the order of their Boss.

After the PResidency relieve Daura of his job, the DSS officials left the Assembly at 2:49 pm, Tuesday Afternoon after hours of siege

The Senators who were mainly members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP also left the assembly complex

Members of the APC were not at the Assembly on Tuesday during the invasion by the DSS as many believed they were previously hinted and routing to remove the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

A Senator Representing Kogi State, Dino Melaye vowed that the PDP will continue their vigilance until their colleagues in the opposition back down

HE described Daura’s sack as a way to do damage control of Buhari’s integrity.

Ben Murray-Bruce also said Daura was fired because the coup to unseat Saraki failed and someone has to be fired to save face.

He also categorically stressed that the Presidency had no choice than to fire Daura because the international community was watching and many had called the Nigerian government to douse and do the needful.
