The Federal government has appointed Mathew Seifa in place of the sacked Lawal Musa as the new Director-General of the Department of the State Service.
The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo held a closed-door meeting with the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu and the new DSS DG.
Daura was let go after ordering the siege that took place at the National Assembly on Tuesday morning.
The lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party and journalists were denied access into the complex, claiming the order was from above.
Angry lawmakers accused the President and the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC of responsible for the siege, claiming it was an attempt to unseat the Senate President, Bukola Saraki who defected from the APC to the PDP last week, and the Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
A Politician, Timi Frank had earlier disclosed, hours before the siege that the National Chairman of the APC was holding a meeting with the DSS boss and 30 lawmakers of the APC.
However, the APC had said the APC Chairman has nothing to do with the event.
