The Spokesperson for the Buhari’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo (SAN) said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP only exists on Twitter and Whatsapp.
Keyamo was responding to the allegation that the President Muhammadu Buhari had suppressed internal democracy in the All Progressives Congress.
Kola Ologbondiyan, the Spokesman to the PDP had on Thursday, teased the APC over the emergence of Buhari as the sole presidential candidate of the APC, describing it as an indication that the ruling party is “incredibly doomed for a crushing defeat”
The Spokesman described the allegation as the figment of the PDP’s imagination, adding that the PDP was the one winding up.
Keyamo noted that in 2015, the PDP only printed one presidential nomination form which was obtained by the former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan whereas, ahead of the 2019 election, the APC had printed many forms and that other aspirants chose not to obtain forms because they conceded to the President.
He said, “As of today, the PDP only exists on Twitter and Whatsapp. The APC is not doomed; rather, it is the PDP that is winding up.
“The solution to a problem cannot be to go back to the people who caused the problem.”
