A member of the House of Assembly, Hon. E J Agbonayinma representing Egor/Ekpoba-Okha Federal Constituency was on Tuesday booed by angry protesters at the National Assembly.
The Assembly was locked down on Tuesday morning by the officers of the DSS. All members of the Assembly including the lawmakers were deprived of entering.
While responding to journalists interrogation, EJ response was cut short by angry staff who kept shouting “APC has failed”
The APC lawmaker was whisked away to avoid physical abuse from the angry mobs.
The siege at the National Assembly, people say, was a plan by the Executive led by the President, Muhammadu Buhari and the party leader, Adams Oshiomhole to unseat the Senate President, Bukola SAraki who of recent, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The embattled leader of the Senate had called for an emergency meeting on Monday to address critical issues one of which was a plan to unseat him.
PDP also alleged that the President is responsible for the truncation of democracy as he travelled to the United Kingdom to enable his alibi.
