Edo State Government has promised to support Insurance and Dynamite who are representing the state in the Federation Cup.
Deputy Governor of the state Philip Shaibu made the pledge after the final of the state FA Cup, where Insurance hammered Dynamite 5-0.
Shaibu said, “I congratulate both teams for a thrilling final, especially Insurance, for showing why they are a strong contender for promotion to the Premier League. I want to assure both teams of government’s support in the national play-offs.
“We shall continue to monitor and support both teams to ensure that they bring glory to the state.”
Mike Egboh, who represented the President of FROT Group Frank Momoh, sponsors of the event, said, “I am happy with the standard of play by both teams, they have shown that Edo State still boasts quality. I want to wish them all the best in the national play-offs. I am confident they will make the state proud.
He added, “We are always proud of the FA led by Frank Ilaboya. They have proved their administrative acumen and we are very proud of them. FROT Group will continue to back the Edo FA to bring back the vibes to Edo State football.”
